Women in Leadership - And Those Who Champion Them
A key part of my doctoral research is focused on designing leadership development that invites, equips, and promotes capable women. I believe healthy leadership includes both men and women at the table—bringing their full voices and strengths to the work.
If you're passionate about this too, or curious how to start - let’s talk. I’d love to share more.

My story
-
A quick story—when I was about nine years old, I was walking in the woods with a few friends near my house in North Carolina. We were bored, just kicking around the long NC pine needles on the forest floor. Then I had an idea:
“There are loads of pine needles. What if we used these pine needles to build something? We could build houses!”Not real ones, of course — just low walls, like blueprints on the ground. We laid out room shapes, made ankle-high walls with pine needles, left spaces for doors, and started building. Soon, everyone was gathering pinecones, sticks, and whatever else we could find to furnish our little homes with pretend beds and couches. Then we visited each other’s houses and imagined whole lives together.
I still remember that magical feeling: creating something out of nothing, together.
When I look back on the moments I’ve felt most alive in my career, they’ve had that same spark — spotting a problem, offering a simple starting point, and working with others to make it better.
Whether I’m coaching, facilitating leadership workshops, or speaking, I do the same thing:
I help people see the need and what’s possible. I offer a clear and accessible strategy. And then, we build together, improving the idea as we go.Now, my mission is to design solutions that work for more people in the room, not fewer. I lead collaborative problem-solving missions—and I love every minute of it.

I have a unique combination of nonprofit and for-profit experience that has helped me see and serve people with more than a bottom-line agenda. My experience has shaped me to see you not just as a client but as a person I get to serve - a person I get to help unlock potential in. Whether that potential is in your office or your pulpit, I have leadership development experience that translates to both spaces.
Part of my resume shows over 30 years of nonprofit Christian ministry leadership experience across the East Coast, West Coast, and the UK. Serving in roles ranging from entry-level to senior leadership. In those spaces, I’ve experienced both the joy and the frustrations that come with each leadership role.
In addition to nonprofit work, I’ve founded three successful businesses in both the U.S. and the U.K., and I understand the unique challenges of launching something from scratch and the tension of trying to get others to fully own the mission.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, and I’m currently completing my doctorate in Organizational Leadership. After three years of coursework, I’m now in the final stretch — researching and writing my dissertation on best practices in leadership development for women and men together, set to be completed in Spring 2026.
In 2024, I completed 100+ coaching course hours and 100+ coaching client hours, and passed the exam for the International Coaching Federation- the gold standard for executive coaching.

My mission is to facilitate collaborative efforts that solve leadership development problems in nonprofit and for-profit spaces.
I start with believing in the potential in the room, not just in the boardroom, but also in the offices down the hall.
I bet you do too, but I know it’s hard to get out of old patterns. Unfortunately, doing things the same way gets the same results. That is why hiring a strategic thought partner to help you draw out the best in people and help teams move forward with clarity and purpose is likely what you need. My mission is to be that thought partner, help interrupt the old patterns, and coach people in new ways where they work together - working smarter, not harder.
A second, but equally personal, part of my mission comes from my own story. For years, I had great results and the clear leadership acumen that was needed for the job, but my male peers were promoted far past me. I was proud of them, and I wanted the opportunity to do the same.
Then I began to see it wasn’t just me. Many women have the same story. That’s when I decided to study organizational leadership and devote 4 years of my life to finding the best leadership development practices for both women and men. The best results come from a team of people who aren’t alike but can unify around purpose, values, and mission.
